Terms of Use

Last updated: July 11, 2026

KreweCatch (krewecatch.ai) is provided by New Orleans & Southeast IT Group ("NO & SE IT Group", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service — no hard feelings.

The short version: KreweCatch is a free triage tool, not a professional security engagement. Its verdicts are informed opinions, not guarantees. Use it to get oriented; use humans to make the big calls.

1. What KreweCatch is (and is not)

KreweCatch analyzes links, messages, domains, hashes, and files you submit and returns an educational assessment. It is not a substitute for professional incident response, legal advice, or a managed security service. A "clean" verdict means our checks found nothing — it is not a guarantee that something is safe, and a "threat" verdict is a strong signal, not a court ruling. When in doubt, contact your IT team or ours.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use KreweCatch only for lawful, defensive purposes: checking whether something that reached you (or your organization) is dangerous. Specifically, you will not:

Submitting suspected malicious files, links, and messages for analysis is exactly what the service is for — that's fine. Using it as a quality-assurance bench for your own malware is not.

3. Your submissions

You are responsible for what you submit. Don't paste passwords or sensitive personal details — redact first. How we handle submissions is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

4. "Talk to a Human"

Submitting a help request creates a support ticket with our team. Response times are not guaranteed and a ticket does not by itself create a service engagement or an emergency-response obligation. If you are in the middle of an active incident, call your IT provider — don't wait on a web form.

5. Intellectual property

The KreweCatch name, characters, design, and content belong to NO & SE IT Group. You may not copy or imitate them commercially without permission. You keep whatever rights you have in the content you submit; you grant us the license needed to process it and operate the service as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Threat analysis is probabilistic by nature; false positives and false negatives happen.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NO & SE IT Group will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including losses from relying on a verdict — arising out of your use of KreweCatch. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

8. Changes and termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service (or these terms) at any time. Material changes to the terms will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. We may limit or block use that violates section 2.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Louisiana.
